About the painting:
This painting is derived from the many photos and sketches I made while visiting Claude Monet’s home and gardens in Giverny, France. I also took my oils to the gardens and was able to paint there on location when the gardens were officially closed to tourists. As an artist who has been particularly inspired by the legacy left by Monsieur Monet, it was a special experience and truly a dream come true!
