About the painting:
This painting was inspired by a study I did from a family trip in the early spring to a local bed and breakfast set in a charming farm in Charlottesville, Virginia. I was charmed by this little garden shed surrounded by an old stone wall and finished off with a magical little gnome-like garden gate. I don’t think my childhood fairy-tales could have provided a more delightful setting.
