Through the centuries, many artists have paid homage to the master impressionist Claude Monet. I feel fortunate to be among them, and to have traveled and painted in Monet’s flower garden where the gifted painter worked and lived. In the foreground is the hint of one of the many garden paths surrounding the home, with brilliant pink peonies and roses, and violet phlox and red poppies scattered in the greenery. They are emblematic of the kinds of flowers Monet cultivated. In the distance sits his famous “pink house,” which provides a perfect foil to the garden below.
