About the Painting: This is a scene from the banks of the lake at Smith Mt. Lake state park, near Bedford, Virginia. I had been visiting this general area for a few years because one of our participating galleries is located there. But this occaision was the first time I had visited the park and I could have kicked myself for not having done so before. The scenery was just gorgeous and the lake was amazingly peaceful. I look forward to returning! I hope you enjoy viewing this piece as much as I enjoyed painting it!
