Italy is a country that captured my heart from the very first moment I put my foot on its soil. It is filled with gorgeous cities, rolling hills, cypress trees, and terra cotta rooftops. Don't even get me started on the food! I have been to Italy many times and have travelled to many of its beautiful cities. The villages and hill towns are lovely and filled with charm, and I dream of returning again and again with paints and easel in tow.

About the Painting:

Several times I have had the great fortune to travel to Italy, and it has always held a special place in my heart. On our last visit to Lake Como, we hired a boat to take us on a tour of the lake and we saw this beautiful private cove. Lake Como is filled with such stunning vistas. With Mediterrenean plants and flowers, and the Pre-Alps as a backdrop, it has a feel that is at once both Swiss and Italian. I hope you enjoy this piece as much as I enjoyed painting it!
